We always advise new clients to consider a training class when considering performing geophysical work. Most geophysical techniques require learning not only how to use the instrument, but more importantly, how to collect high quality data, and then how to interpret it. The collection of high quality data requires excellent field quality control practices which often must be maintained in demanding and difficult field conditions.
Heritage Group offers phone and e-mail support to our clients, and even those who are not our clients, at any time, even outside normal business hours, when we can be available. For experienced users this is often sufficient to get them up and running on new instruments. For new users a training class may be just what is needed to expand your business and get you started on new opportunities.
For training on resistivity methods we work with the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey http://www.ncas.rutgers.edu/department-earth- environmental-sciences/consulting-services. Led by Dr. Lee Slater these courses are designed for both new users, and for users with some familiarity of the method, who wish to study more advanced applications. Dr. Slater is an internationally recognized expert in environmental geophysics, specializing in electrical imaging studies.
For more information on training opportunities offered by Rutgers University please contact Dr. Slater at lslater@andromeda.rutgers.edu, or reach him by phone at 973 353-5109. Rutgers also offers training on the use of ground penetrating radar(GPR) instruments.
For training on magnetic, electromagnetic, and seismic methods we work with Northwest Geophysics. Custom training courses, designed to meet the needs of each client, are offered. These classes are taught by Matt Benson, a professional geophysicist with more than 20 years of consulting experience in the fields of mineral exploration, environmental geophysics, and ground water exploration. Matt can be reached at mbenson@nwgeophysics.com, or by phone at 425 497-9015.
We want all of our users to be successful with their new equipment. Please feel free to contact us for all of your geophysical needs, questions, support, etc.
